2. The Wedding Planner
Ah, isn’t this just exactly what you want from a wedding-based romantic comedy? You’ve got Jennifer Lopez looking unnecessarily gorgeous as the wedding planner coveted by young couples everywhere thanks to her ability to make any wedding work on any time frame. Then she manages to fall in love with the groom at the wedding of her career, Matthew McConoughey-in his pre-Oscar days, it’s almost strange to see how well he adapts to the land of romcomedy. At it’s heart, it’s gentle, funny, romantic, and surprisingly quickfire.
