The man who can play with $100 million budgets at will started his career with a small British indie film. Following was Christopher Nolan at his most creative, both filming and behind the scenes. Shot for just $7,000 (that couldn’t even get him a camera filter these days) Nolan and his small team of actors and crew went through lots of rehearsal to limit the amount of takes needed. Costs were cut by using cheap film and using whatever light was available. Following was a small success for Nolan, and its popularity paved the way for his next film: Memento.
