10 Performances the Critics Missed
7. Leonardo DiCaprio- The Great Gatsby
Although he lost out on Oscar triumph once again this year (travesty!), he was nominated for the wrong film anyway. He put in a fine performance in Wolf of Wall Street, but a far better one in The Great Gatsby- a role that Robert Redford struggled to pull off. In amongst all the decadence, intrigue and passion, DiCaprio found the essential humanity and innocence at the heart of his character, throwing those around him into sharp relief and proving that, once again, Leo really can do anything.
