8. Hide in Open Spaces
I can already hear you raising your eyebrow at the above statement because it clearly doesn’t make sense, but think about it. While it might make for a terrifyingly tense sequence if you’re trapped in a confined space while being pursued by your killer, in real life you’ve got no hope in hell of getting away from them. Provided their old-fashioned and use hand-to-hand combat as a method of murder, sprinting away from them in a field is going to put much more distance between the two of you, much more quickly. Safety over style every time.
