5. Enter the Void
Gaspar Noe is Noe-wn (ha!) for his obsession with strange movies-but this one takes the proverbial biscuit. It’s not always an enjoyable watch, but it’s packed full of interesting characters and beautiful visuals that do actually add up into something. Some people might find it a little vague and pretentious, but if you can struggle through the more ponderous moments you’ll find yourself rewarded with a brain-melting final sequence that will very likely put you off drugs forever, as well as making you wonder exactly what the director was taking.
