Kate Winslet is crazy: first flashing now spitting. Her famous loogie in Cal’s face was originally supposed to be her stabbing him with a hair pin. Looking at the finished scene the spit is a much more effective way of getting her character’s point across. All of this info makes me think that Kate Winslet is much more of a loose cannon than her English Rose reputation would have us believe.
