A classic time travel story in which three classmates invent a time machine to re-write embarrassing things that have happened to them. The reason that this film is so popular is because it captures the motivations of every child when they first discover the idea of a time machine. That if they went back in time they can make sure nothing bad will happen. This idea is taken to its social acceptable extreme in Minutemen.
