15 Most Offensive Characters in Film
2. Jar Jar Binks, The Phantom Menace
It speaks volumes of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace that it frequently ends up on lists like this. There are many aspects of the film that are offensive (acting, script, direction, long boring conversations, the fact that it exists at all), but the worst part is the racial stereotypes on display. Jar Jar Binks, is one, of many, examples of this. This “lovable” CGI character showcases all the horrible assumptions about African Americans. He was rightly dropped, for the most part, for Attack of the Clones only to be replaced by Hayden Christiansen, a CGI character who is offensive to all humans.
