For anyone who is a fan of Spanish auteur Pedro Almondvar’s filmography can attested, the guy is crazy weird. Known for his darkly comic mellow-dramas, Almondvar shocked everyone with his 2011 body-horror masterpiece The Skin I Live In. Starring frequent collaborator Antonio Bandares, The Skin I Live In is a monumentally creepy film about how far someone would go to achieve physical perfection. The premise was a little too much for anyone that isn’t part of the director’s hardcore fan base, though too many it is his defining film.
