Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is one of the greatest movies of all time. A giant of the western genre, yet with more to it than that. At its core, the film is more akin to a buddy movie. Paul Newman’s Butch and Robert Redford’s Sundance are the quintessential western bromance, more similar to the Lethal Weapon movies than Once Upon a Time in the West.
