9. Marvin’s Death
Everyone remembers the scene in which, during a deep and interesting philosophical conversation, John Travolta accidentally shoots Marvin, don’t they? Whether or not there was a bump is left up to debate, but in the original version of the script, Travolta only hit the hapless Marvin in the throat- having to mercy-kill him with a shot straight to the head later. Certainly would have stripped any funny from the scene.
