This sequel to the The Hunger Games follows the aftermath of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) winning the titular Hunger Games. Easily surpassing the first films $700 million box office, thanks in no small part to Lawrence’s best actress Oscar for The Silver Linings Playbook, Catching Fire continues the franchise’s position as the benchmark of the genre. The first part of the concluding films, Mockingjay will be out at the end of the year.
