Her really does stick out in a list of sci-fi greats as it is mainly branded as a sci-fi-rom-com, heavy on the rom. From Being John Malkovich director Spike Jonze, Her follows Joaquin Phoenix: a lonely office worker who forms a relationship with his OS (Operating System, voiced by Scarlett Johansson). Jonze’s film wraps up some hard questions in beautiful shots and an intimate screenplay that often makes you forget that anything is strange. Her is without a doubt a science fiction masterpiece.
