8. Star Trek Series
JJ Abrams, now playing for the other Star team, (boooo!) revitalized a franchise with almost 50 years’ worth of history, and opened the door to new fans. Starting from the very beginning, Star Trek introduced these iconic characters to a 21st century audience. Particular praise goes to Chris Pine, playing a young, reckless, and very cheeky Kirk, and Zachary Quinto as Spock. Both actors have managed to build a new style of chemistry with each other and breathed new life into one of science fictions most enduring friendships.
