10 Movies That Didn’t Get the Recognition They Deserved
4. Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll
Diving headfirst into the seedy world of Ian Dury, this brilliant British feature redefines the word biopic in one fell swoop. You get the feeling that this movie is the way Mr Dury himself would have wanted it made- all Vaudevillian humour and drama, oozing with his fantastic music and thoroughly immersed in the punk scene of the time. Andy Serkis puts in a stunningly great performance as the man himself, embodying his black humour and fatalism with charm and some really filthy lines. A film that should be considered one of the best musical biopics of all time, if not ever.
