2. Nicholas Cage-Adaptation
It seemed like a disaster in the making. Take Nicholas Cage- an actor known for shouting, screaming, and general going far too over-the-top for his own good- and give him two parts of the same character to play in one movie. How on earth did anyone think this could possibly work out? As it happened, Cage put in an uncharacteristically calm, centred performance, creating two completely distinct characters with no much more than a turn of phrase or a raise of the eyebrow. He might be divisive, but here he was divided-and it worked wonders.
