2. Twin Peaks
Another one that attempted to extend it’s run with a hastily churned-out follow-up movie, Twin Peaks was meant to run for much longer than it did. Although the series managed to close up the mystery of Laura Palmer’s murder, it was intended to carry on to explore more of the weird world of Twin Peaks. David Lynch’s cult series bounced through a strange mix of occultism, suicide, murder, possession, and paranoia in the cheery small-town setting of Twin Peaks, told through the eyes of Kyle Machlachlan as ultimate good-guy investigator Dale Cooper. Cynical, funny, and disturbing, it was never tea-time viewing, and unfortunately never got the chance to fully explore a truly fascinating world.
