6. Undeclared
And taking a step up from the general high school angst into the world of college worry, Undeclared was a triumph that never quite got the recognition it deserved. A follow-up to the equally short-lived cult hit Freaks & Geeks, Undeclared followed the lives of a bunch of college students who were, by turns, awkward, panicked, feisty, charming and sweet, basically summing up the whole college mentality in one fell swoop. It’s also notable for the near- constant cameos from people who are now inordinately well-known in the world of comedy –think How I Met Your Mother’s Jason Segel and Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler. A fun, entertaining show that should never have run for just one season.
