Max Brooks’ famous zombie novel got the Hollywood treatment in this big-budget adaptation of his accounts of a zombie apocalypse. It might not stay slavishly true to the book, but it does provide a wonderful insight into Brooks’ world, as well as providing a few terrifying fight sequences. An ever-competent Brad Pitt leads the charge against the walking dead, travelling across the globe in a bid to protect his family. Oh yeah, and the rest of the human race too. Obviously.
