13 Box Office Stinkers

13. The Love Guru
Both a critical and financial failure for Mike Myers, who wanted another franchise out of this ill-advised and tasteless comedy. While you can’t blame Myers for believing this, he does have three other successful franchises under his belt: Wayne’s World, Shrek, and Austin Powers, but really, what was he thinking? Starring a wealth of pretty faces (Justin Timberlake, Jessica Alba) and Myers in the lead role, The Love Guru was a shallow comedy with none of Myers’ clever jokes and too much Carry-On style winking to the audience. This was something that even Myers fans didn’t like, with the film failing to break even and a sequel thankfully dropped.
