13 Box Office Stinkers
6. The Adventures of Pluto Nash
It seemed that the writing was on the wall for Eddie Murphy in 2002. His box office success of the 80s and 90s was fading and the first nail in his careers coffin was the failure of The Adventures of Pluto Nash. From the film’s massive budget ($120 million), Nash only made back $ 7.1 million; losing, adjusting for inflation, a staggering $144 million, and spelling the beginning of the end of Murphy’s global fame.
