Reshoots and salaries are what doomed this damp squib of a film. With the film wrapped for a year, someone came up with the brilliant idea of rewriting and reshooting the movie. The actors, who included Warren Beatty, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton were paid their full salary for the second time to come back for these reshoots. This meant that the films budget ballooned to over $100 million and only made a tenth of its budget back. I don’t think any of the actors minded though.
