Pixar has a very clever technique when it comes to cameos. Instead of just having characters from other movies return like the Bugs Life cameo in Toy Story 2, they will have characters from future movies cameo. Prime example is the appearance of Nemo in Monsters Inc. Not only is he cute but he also hints at what Pixar will do next. Pixar is always one step ahead.
