4. Rex in WALL-E
WALL-E is, in my opinion, Pixar’s best film. The near dialogue free first half is the work of a creative team at the height of their powers. The animation of a junk-filled earth is achingly beautiful in its desolation. In a world full of rubbish, WALL-E is the heroic janitor, who saves things that he likes for himself. One of these is a very familiar dinosaur toy in the shape of Toy Story’s Rex. Yes Wall-E saved Rex from the end of the world.
