7. The Help
This poster shows exactly how patronizing The Help is to a great many people. Told as a story of breaking social and ethnic boundaries, The Help (like many Hollywood films about racism, I’m looking at you Crash) gives in to the stereotypical white crusader: played by Emma Stone. While the poster may be heavy handed it is just as heavy handed as the film: which subliminally slaps you in the face with its THEMES like a wet fish.
