15 Movies that Ignore the Facts
12. Fargo
Fargo is classic case of the Coen Brothers being up to no good. The message that the film was based on true events was them having a bit of fun, but everyone believed it. To confirm: none of the events that took place in Fargo happened. Even the stuff in the film that was inspired by real events didn’t take place during winter in Minnesota. The ironclad belief that Fargo was real even resulted in the death of a woman who was hunting for the buried treasure. That’s the last time the Coen’s make a joke.
