8. Pearl Harbor
Before Michael Bay made a living by throwing giant destructive robots at major cities around the word he tried to make his own version of Titanic with the oft-maligned Pearl Harbor. Now Bay is notorious for getting his own way even at the expense of history which Pearl Harbor takes great liberties with. The attacks, in true Bay fashion, were a lot more destructive in the film, Admiral Kimmel was vilified for missing signs of the attack but in real life he didn’t get any word till after, and a whole mess of characters were made up specifically for the film.
