15 Stars of the 80s and Where They Are Now
The eighties was a time for movie stars. In a wave of camp classics and John Hughes comedies, these stars made their name, but have they been as successful since? Here are 15 stars from the eighties and where they are now.
1. Molly Ringwald
Molly Ringwald was the undisputed queen of the eighties. Starring in hits like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink, Ringwald was the decade’s “IT” girl. Since then time hasn’t been to kind to her career. The film roles dried up in the nineties with only the TV adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand, in which she lost her trademark red hair, saw any success. Recently she starred as Anne Juergens on the ABC series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Ringwald is stark proof that being a star in the eighties doesn’t equal job security.
