You know when you see a cool movie poster with an awesome tag line, like Alien’s “In space no one can hear you scream”, well most posters just have shameless PR jargon that has some vague connection to the movie’s theme. Wouldn’t it be a lot easier if the posters could tell you exactly what you’re spending your hard earned money on? Well here are 15 honest movie posters that do.
1. Pretty Woman
Anyone who wasn’t caught up in this whirlwind tale of romance from different worlds would surely thing that this poster is accurate. Once you take away all the glamour, the two Hollywood stars, and (as the poster says) fluffiness of the whole film, then what you’re left with is an adult version of an after-school special. Many johns have promised to save prostitutes from their lives, Pretty Woman is not the reality of this, because none of them looked like Richard Gere.
