4. Deadpool
The comic book adaptation that can chill a studio executive from a hundred yards away, Deadpool: The Movie has been in development for years. Ryan Reynolds, who played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has been keen for his character to make the jump to his own movie. A director, in the shape of Tim Miller, and a script from Zombieland writers: Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, was completed some time ago. The film is a hard sell due to its explicit violence and Meta quality (Deadpool frequently breaks the fourth wall), and with Reynolds shrinking reputation as a box office force, keep the project in doubt.
