4. Godzilla
I can imagine the pitch meeting between director Roland Emmerich and the studio went something like this:
Noah: “Ok guys for my next film I want to remake Godzilla.”
Studio: “Great! What did you have in mind?”
Noah: “Well you guys give me crap loads of money, I’ll watch The Lost World while doodling on a piece of paper, and then steal the ending and turn it into the whole movie. Then we can make Matthew Broderick the hero. Ha, no one will see that coming.”
Studio (Sweating a bit now): “Fine Roland, whatever you want.”
The director leaves the room delighted.
Studio: “Oh God, Speilberg’s gonna be pissed.”
He wasn’t the only one.
