5. Carrie
The only thing that the modern version of Carrie has going for it is that they finally had enough money for Carrie’s path of destruction from the high school to her home. The original films director, Brian De Palma, wanted that scene but ran out of money. Other than that, Kimberly Pierce’s film is utterly pointless. There is no tension because everyone already knows what’s coming, and the use of social media to humiliate Carrie 21st century style, is a miserable plea for teenagers money.
