Although 2015 still seems far away, it is never too early to get excited about the movie franchises set to hit the big screen next year.
Speculation is abound on whether on not this year will be the best yet in terms of blockbuster films. It could certainly be the highest grossing one yet.
When franchises are released they give diehard fans a new reason to come back to the big screen, and indecisive summertime moviegoers a sure bet on what films are going to deliver.
Along with consistent favorites, the continuing of older films is going to rock the movie world, especially numbers one, three, and five on our list. You won’t believe the exciting new films set to release in 2015.
1. The Avengers: Age of Ultron
This sequel to the 2012 film The Avengers is gearing up to be one of the most talked-about movies of the next year. It includes Joss Whedon coming back to write and direct The Avengers: Age of Ultron for Marvel and Disney Studios.
The cast will stay true to the original, boasting Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth. The first film made a whopping $1.5 billion dollars worldwide, so if the sequel is even bigger is could remove the first one from its spot at third highest grossing fillm of all time.
Ultron is going to be the name of the villain of the film, and James Spader has been cast to play the character. Whedon has been quoted as saying the filmmakers want to write a new original story for the villain, whom they consider to be the all-time Avengers comic book bad guy.
The other new characters will be heroes Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch, to be played by Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olson, respectively. The film is set to release May 1st, 2015. The excitement is palpable.
