8. Fast & Furious 7
The seventh installment of the popular Fast and Furious franchise is coming out in April of 2015. The action film has been written by Chris Morgan and will be directed by James Wan. This one is going to take place after the events of Tokyo Drift, fast forwarding a bit from the past three films in the series.
The film was set to release July 2014, but the unfortunate death of Paul Walker, playing Brian O’Conner, put the film schedule on hold for some time while the filmmakers performed rewrites in order to work with the problem.
It was announced that the studio would use a combination of stand-ins, Walker’s brothers, and CGI to finish the film as intended.
The film also features Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Lucas Black. The score is being written by Brian Tayler, who did the same for the third, fourth, and fifth films.
The franchise is set to continue for at least two more installments after this one, due to the huge commercial success they have garnered.
