9. Minions
Those who loved Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2 are in for a treat with this new spinoff prequel. Perceptive fans will have no doubt seen the teaser for the film in the closing credits of Despicable Me 2, showing three minions auditioning for the new film called, appropriately, Minions.
The film is written by Bryan Lynch and directed by the morbid sounding Pierre Coffin. The movie, which will release July 10, 2015 is going to be 3D, and produced by Illumination Entertainment for Universal Pictures.
Two exciting new actors are going to be playing the villains in this one. Sandra Bullock will be voicing Scarlet Overkill, the main villain. John Hamm will provide the voice for her husband, inventor Herb Overkill.
The plot follows the Minions from the very dawn of time in their single quest to serve the greatest villains around. Unfortunately, their ineptitude at the job proves to destroy all those they work for, until the 1960s, when they meet Scarlet Overkill at a villain convention, who is determined to become the world’s first female supervillain.
Both children and adults will be sure to flock to the theaters to see this one on the big screen next summer.
