10. The Hobbit: There and Back Again
After much eye-rolling over the fact that one book had been stretched out to cover three films, people began warming pretty quickly to the Hobbit trilogy, the final part of which will be released this year. Starring Martin Freeman as a pitch-perfect Bilbo Baggins (how could you ever see him played by anyone else? How?), we return to Middle Earth for one final time as Bilbo makes his way back to his hobbit hole. Filled with director Peter Jackson’s typically dazzling visual trickery, and revelling in some wonderful performances from genre stalwarts, this is one that cynicism takes a backseat to.
