13. Under the Skin
Looking for your arthouse flick of the year? Well, I think I might have found it for you. Starring the gorgeous Scarlett Johanssen as an alien sent from her home planet (stick with me here) to harvest humans for unknown reasons, Sexy Beast’s Johnathan Glazer takes the hlem for the first time in ten years. At the very least, it’ll reek of his very distinctive visual style, with some of the scenes being filmed with a hidden camera of the streets of Scottish city Glasgow. His work has proved to be divisive in the past, but this one looks like it could soon be grabbing the “cult classic” status if all goes to plan.
