9. Muppets: Most Wanted
Much like Godzilla above, The Muppets are required to appear on every generation’s screen to enchant them with catchy songs and confuse them with weird crushes on animatronic frogs (just me? Okay then). And, in 2011, they did just that- meshing a perfect blend of wonderful modernism, a bunch of fantastic songs (Man Or Muppet? Bagged them an Oscar), and a handful of enthusiastic celebrity cameos that delighted old fans and new fans alike. It’s pretty difficult to find anyone who’s cold-hearted enough to not be looking forward to the sequel just a little bit- with turns from Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey in the human cast to top things off, the prison-break Muppet madness looks set to continue over the summer.
