Anthony Edwards, who plays Goose in the movie, was reportedly the only cast member not to vomit when he was flown up in the cockpit of a real fighter jet. The jets usually require a great deal of physical stamina and a strong stomach in order to fly them, as the high g-forces and quick pressure changes would cause most of us to find our stomachs flipping. Goose really is the hero!
