9. 2001: A Space Odyssey
Aside from Hal (the ultimate nightmare of anyone who’s ever owned Siri-let’s face it, both of them have to potential to go nuts and kill you, all while maintaining that super-soothing tone of voice), A Space Odyssey also features another bit of modern technology in it-the video chat. At one point we see the lonely astronaut essentially using Skype to communicate with his daughter on earth. It’s CGI might not have predicted the future, but it was groundbreaking.
