3. Iron Man
The Marvel universe are known for cramming their movies full of in-jokes and references for dedicated fans-whether it’s nods to the comics that these movies or based on or visual gags referencing other films in the series. In the first Iron Man film, released in 2008, as Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Junior) goes to take his suit off, we can see a messy workshop table in the background. On it, there’s a prototype version of Captain America’s shield-Iron Man and Captain America would join forces in 2012 The Avengers.
