1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Okay, so this one is pretty much a total no-brainer when it comes to stoned movies, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good ‘un. Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro star in this adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s book of the same name, following them across America on a drug-fuelled journey of nothingness. Shot through with a wicked sense of humour, it makes sense that this is one of the mainstays of this area of pop culture, well-trodden as it is.
