4. Repo! The Genetic Opera
You’d think that a horror-musical would never work on any level-either too campy and daft, or too focused on the horror that cause the songs to seem hideously out of place and stupid. This, though? This works. With a sterling cast (Sarah Brightman, Bill Moselely, Anthony Stewart Head, Paul Sorvino, to name but a few), and bonafide rock songs that are ridiculously re-listenable, the visuals and plot will dazzle you too. A must-see, if only because no-one had the audacity to pull of something this big before.-and to do it with such style.
