To be honest, it’s impossible to know exactly how much of this film is actually true-after all, experts have gone back and forth on the veracity of it’s claims. But there is a house on Ocean Avenue in California where a series of murders did take place-though whether they have any supernatural influence remains to be seen. The book the movie is based on proved controversial, dividing critics while entertaining audiences everywhere.
