For some people, there’s nothing for terrifying than being trapped out and alone anywhere-let alone in the middle of the ocean. But that’s the disturbing premise of Open Water-based on the case of Tom and Eileen Longerman, who were mistakenly stranded in the middle of the Coral sea while on a scuba-diving trip. Like the film, their story does not have a happy ending-the bodies of the young couple were never recovered.
