By far the finest ever outing by everyone’s favourite mechanical puppets, this musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel is packed full of amazing songs and some very adult humour you probably missed the first time round. You’ve got to love Tim Curry’s campy turn as singing antihero Long John Silver, while you’ll likely find yourself blown away by the gorgeous visuals of Caribbean islands and sparkling oceans. The kind of thing that you know you’re probably going to be watching for the rest of your life, this masterpiece is more than a kid’s movie-it’s just a downright brilliant bit of filmmaking.
