This film might not seem like the first one to spring to mind when you think of marriage, but stick with me here-even though the main plot follows Julia and Julie (Meryl Streep and Amy Adams) in a time-hopping cookery-based slice of strangeness, it also delves into the lives of the two women at the film’s core. The relationship Streep shares with her husband is fascinating-endlessly supportive, long-wearing, and proof that really sticking together when things are at their worst can pay off in the long run. Heartwarming.
