8. Walk the Line
Johnny Cash, legendary country and western singer, regular toured and performed with wife June Carter Cash. Walk the Line is a superb biopic of the singer’s life as it is, but throw in the incredible chemistry between Witherspoon and Phoenix as the titular couple and you’ve got something that really sparkles. Sticking together through addiction, arrest and stardom, the pair represent the rare showbiz couple who loved each other to the core and weren’t afraid to show it. Cash wrote the song I Walk the Line for his wife.
