8. Scott Pilgrim Versus The World
An interesting take on the genre when you consider that the titular Scott wasn’t actually a superhero. Michael Cera comes up against the seven evil exes of his new squeeze Ramona Flowers in this cult favourite-a highly stylised, extremely funny, sumptuously casted take on the manga of the same name. Coming at you like a stocking full of candy committed to celluloid, it divides audiences, but deserves it’s spot here for pure effervescence and sense of glorious good fun.
