9. X-Men
It is truly, genuinely hard for any film fan to remember a time when the X-Men weren’t dominating the cinema-whether it was a movie currently on screens, in production, or rumoured to begin casting any time this year, they’ve always been around. Well, rewind to 2000 when the first one came out and appreciate what a wonderful take on the series this was-serious with a sense of fun and laying claim to some seriously good actors, this was an adaptation to be proud of.
